Dr. Gabrielle Papeix is a Specialist Anaesthetist who graduated from the University of Newcastle medical school, followed by junior doctor and anaesthetics training within Hunter New England Local Health District.
In the later stages of her anaesthetics training, Gabrielle completed a Master of Science (Perioperative Medicine) at University College London, with a research component based at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

These roles involve the dissemination of evidence-based perioperative education and promotion of multi-disciplinary and collegiate management of complex patients.
With her current work largely taking place at the John Hunter Hospital, Gabrielle has a diverse range of experience across almost all surgical specialty groups and with patients across a wide variety of clinical complexity and acuity of care. Gabrielle is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and enjoys working with the surgical community of the Hunter region.
